Some connections don’t need explanations
They don’t arrive with planning
They simply happen—and change you foreverBalto happened to me like that
Meeting Balto in Chandigarh – A Moment That Changed Everything
I was traveling back to Mumbai from Jammu when fate stopped me in Chandigarh.
That’s where I saw him.
A tiny puppy, barely 35–40 days old.
Small, fragile and unbelievably cute.
The moment I held him, something inside me shifted.
It felt like holding my father’s presence — a strange mix of warmth, responsibility and love.
I didn’t plan to adopt a dog that day.
But in that moment, I knew—Balto was coming home with me. Special Thanks to my friend Imanshu Malhotra, Brother Akshay, Uncle and Baba Pet World Yamunanagar/Jagadhari
First Night With a Dog – Fear, Love, and Responsibility
That night, we drove from Yamuna Nagar to Delhi, late into the night.
Balto slept peacefully, unaware that his life — and mine — had just changed.
We stayed at Novotel Aerocity, Delhi. By coincidence, some of my close friends were staying in the same hotel. Their presence gave me comfort during a night filled with emotions.
It was my first night ever with a dog.
I felt:
- Excited
- Happy
- Scared
- Responsible
- Emotionally overwhelmed
I kept waking up to check if he was breathing.
If he was comfortable.
If he was okay.
That night, I didn’t just stay with a dog.
I became a dog father.
From Delhi to Jaipur – Our Bond Begins
The next morning, Balto and I started our journey toward Jaipur.
This was not just a road trip—it was the beginning of a bond.
We stayed in Jaipur and explored many places together. Everywhere I went, I carried him carefully, like a child discovering the world for the first time.
Somewhere between hotel rooms and Jaipur’s roads, my fear slowly turned into confidence.
My anxiety turned into care.
and Balto trusted me completely.
A 1600 km Road Trip With My First Dog
From Jaipur, we continued our journey toward Mumbai.
Nearly 1500 kilometers.
My first long drive with a dog.
My first real responsibility of another life.
Balto slept, played and stayed calm — trusting me with everything he had.
That trust changed me.
Reaching Home – Balto Finds His Home, I Find My Child
When we finally reached Mumbai, it felt complete.
Balto found his new home.
And I found something deeper — a child, a purpose, a bond I never expected.
I didn’t just adopt Balto.
We found each other.
That 1600 km journey wasn’t about distance.
It was about becoming family.
Life With Balto
Balto didn’t just enter my life. He rewrote it.
He taught me patience.
He taught me responsibility.
He taught me unconditional love.
Some of the best things in life arrive without planning. Balto is proof of that.
